I’m very pleased to let you know that The Churl has contributed to the inaugural Food Resilience Network podcast, a new audio venture from Richard Prideaux and Amy Green. They are the brawn and the brains of Original Outdoors, an excellent resource for all things connected with their approach to ‘living a more complete, connected and intentional life’. I say Richard and Amy have more outdoor chops than an al fresco butcher. They make great content and organise many courses as well as other adventures.
Like me, they believe firmly in the importance of good food and in our need to regain control of it in the modern world. I’m very glad to have spoken about growing with friends who also grow, even though I halved the amount of land I actually hold and I called it a hobby… the shame…

INFO
In this episode Richard introduces you to Karl, our tame grower of vegetables in Norwich, England. We recorded this back at the beginning of October, as the main harvesting season was reaching its end and preparations for winter/next year began. The successes and failures of this past year are discussed, alongside some of the difficulties of growing on an allotment and a small amount of their history in the UK.
